Welcome to Stoney Ridge Cabin Rentals. My name is Tom Stone, I have owned and operated Stoney Ridge since 2005. Our cabins are located on my fourteen acres of ground next to Stephens State Forest in south-central Iowa. These cabins make an excellent lodge near the forest and allow you to go hunting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding and guided hunts.

Stoney Ridge Cabins and Guided Hunts is located on the Chariton River bottom approximately 60 miles south of Des Moines in some of Iowa's best white tail and turkey habitat. All hunts are in zone 4 & 5 in timber parcels surrounded by corn, bean, and hay fields that offer great opportunities to harvest trophy racks and 25-pound turkeys.

Out-of-state deer and turkey hunting will require a draw tag license through the Iowa DNR. You can apply online at www.iowadnr.com or by calling 1-800-367-1188. You will have to provide a copy of your state issued hunter safety education card if born after 1967.
